As a longtime student of Laura’s, I continue to be impressed with the knowledge, skill, and experience she has of the game. Laura has helped me develop my golf swing. She has also provided instruction on how to hit each club, gain power with swing motion, course management as well as developing the mental side of the game.

As good as teaching professional as Laura is, what I love the most is the positive attitude and enthusiasm she demonstrates to all of her students. She is very caring and empowers students to improve their play and enjoy their time on the course. She has made the game of golf fun for me.

I so enjoyed my lesson with Laura Baugh! She was such an inspiration to me when she was in the height of her golf career and at that time I was just starting to golf. I would study her golf instructions or photos in all the golf magazines available at that time. Imagine how thrilled I was to learn that my golf idol was giving lessons near me in Florida!

Laura was so friendly when we met and immediately put me at ease as she asked personal questions about my golf game. We agreed on the direction of my lesson for the day and future course of action. During my lesson she was very positive in her feedback to me and she would personalize how she incorporated swing changes and thought processes as a tour player. I am very pleased with my outcome and look forward to my future lesson with Laura.

For the past several years, Sawgrass Country Club has had the privilege of having Laura
Baugh on our teaching staff.
Laura combines the experience of being a great player with the desire to help all of her
students improve their game. Having played the game at the highest level, she has the
necessary experience to work with tour professionals or low handicap amateur players. She
also is sufficiently skilled in the fundamentals of the game, so she can introduce golf to
beginners. Laura is a hard worker and her hour lessons typically last much longer than sixty
minutes. Laura’s clinics are always filled and her patience and encouragement endear her to
her students. Laura also goes out of her way to offer advice and help to members who have
never taken a lesson from her.
It is exciting to hear that Laura is starting her own golf school. As she embarks on this new
chapter in her life, she will, no doubt, combine the attributes listed above with her effervescent
personality and have a positive effect on both the lives and golf games of her future students.

I happened to come upon Laura while I was hitting balls on the range at Sawgrass Country Club. I have to admit that I overheard her while she was giving a lesson to one of the members there and what I heard made perfect sense!
My brother and I had entered an FSGA tournament in Amelia a few years ago and all I thought about was one tip that she had instructed her student to do. Well, I tried it and it worked! I came in first place for the tournament!
Since then, I have been taking lessons from Laura. ( My daughter, son in law and family are members at Sawgrass so I am fortunate enough to be able to take the lessons with Laura).
My game has improved immensely.
She pinpoints the problem areas to a “tee”.
My brother, who was a 13 handicap, has come down to a 7 all because of Laura’s fabulous teaching method.
I have been Playing golf for over 30 years and she is the best instructor that I ever had.

As a low handicap senior golfer I had fallen into a few bad habits which needed to be addressed before they became forever “grooved”. I turned to Laura and we began to work together and identified a few swing flaws that required correction. I agreed to sign-up for a lesson package and we met every week or two. Results were quickly evident, demonstrated by the images she captured on her iPad as well as the obvious improvement in ball flight.

I would recommend Laura to golfers of all levels, her golf IQ allows her to quickly evaluate the students current ability, physical capacity, and willingness to accept change. She is energetic, positive, and fun to be around.
